M. Leon Smith began reading voraciously at the age of five and vowed to become an author. He lost his mobility, and the majority of sensation in his hands and legs, due to Multiple Sclerosis at the age of thirty-five and began to take writing seriously.
Adamant that he wanted to stay within the independent scene, he was published by several companies. He then became an editor for Dead Guns Press where he launched two books as part of their line-up.
Following his time at DGP, M. Leon began his own company, Esskaye Books.
He lives in North-East England with his fiancée, Claire, and two cats, Bobby and Bim.
