Promote the independent scene
Many authors strive to be the next big name but other authors just want to be read. An mainstream author can find themselves "pigeon-holed" into a specific genre and this could be exactly what they. But if you would like to switch things up then independence is the way to go. This is what we look for at Esskaye Books! Let us read what you wanted to write!
I have a charity or two which are dear to me and I am using Esskaye Books as a way to aid the Multiple Sclerosis Society as I have MS. You can choose to do the same, or not, if you decided to become part of Esskaye Books that is your decision :)
Promote myself as an author
I'm not daft. I know I need to get my name "out there" as most who decide to tread this slippery path know also. A little "link-for-link" sharing can go a long way...
Leave a comment if you want to take part.
If any of this seems sensible to you, then get in touch! I would love to hear from you!
M. Leon Smith
Will wonders never cease? Somehow, the Thursday blog is appearing on a Thursday! So what has been going on at Esskaye Towers behind the scenes?
The eBook edition of 'Olverston Grange ...and Other Stories' is locked and loaded and will be released on Amazon on the first of June and it is available for pre-order now and will be delivered to your device as soon as it is released!
Also, if you have signed up to Kindle Unlimted you can read the eBook for free when it is released!
Artwork for the release of our next paperback 'The Blue Jackets: Director's Cut' has been commissioned and will be created by the talented artist, Nicole Mitchinson, who supplied the awesome artwork for 'Olverston Grange ...and Other Stories'. The book is 99% complete and will come to you on 1st August.
Work on 'The Blue Jackets' sequel 'The Echo Committee' has gathered pace and poor M. Leon Smith's fingers are red raw with all the writing he is doing!
Thanks for reading with us,
Esskaye Books has been undergoing a little bit of a spruce up! Yup, that's right, after 5(ish) weeks of being online we have decided to do a bit of tidying and decoration to get the site ready for the Kindle release of Olverston Grange ...and Other Stories. Available for pre-order over on Amazon!
We will be adding more features to the site in the coming months, and if you would like to see something then say Hi! and let us know what you would like.
The next planned feature is a mailing list so you will always be up to date with the going on here but in short we have commissioned artwork for our next release, the director's cut of The Blue Jackets! Everything is going at full steam here at Esskaye Books!
Release schedule at Esskaye Books
A release schedule for Esskaye Books has been arranged and it is exciting for us (and, let's face it, untested lol)
We aim to release a new book every four months and an eBook of the release two months later. We will also be releasing related merchandise, some limited, to go with each release. Our current release schedule is below. As you can see, we are making sure all of processes are in place (and work correctly!) before we increase the number of titles available too radically!
Hey! How are you all? Time for another update of the goings on at Esskaye Towers...
The rewrite/update of next book, The Blue Jackets: Director's Cut is going well with the original three (previously published) short stories being reunited into the single book they were originally meant to be. There will also be 7,000 - 10,000 words of previously deleted story reinstated and a flashy new cover designed etc etc etc. We're still on target for a June release :)
We are also working on the Kindle version of Olverston Grange ...and Other Stories, so all you eBook fans will be able to join in the fun! Expect the eBook to be available some time in May.
Work on our merchandise line has been temporarily halted while we concentrate on the books, but we will be back on the case shortly! Until then, what is on the merch page is still available.
That's all for this week - we'll try to be on time next week!
See you soon!
